Central Air Conditioning System

The big commercial building including Shopping Malls, Commercial Buildings, IT campus, Educational campus, Hotels, Hospitals, Process Industries etc. work on the Central Air conditioning systems. The variation of loads, due to various operating features of the large building spaces and campuses, makes such a system more energy efficient.

A typical large building commercial air conditioning system will include:

Plant Room:

  • Chiller
  • Cooling Tower
  • Boiler
  • Building Management System (BMS)

Chilled Water Distribution Network:

  • Pumps
  • Insulated Pipes
  • Control valves

Air Distribution Network:

  • Air Distribution Network:
  • Ducts
  • Grilles / Diffusers
  • VAV boxes

TYPE OF CENTRAL AIR CONDITIONING SYSTEMS:

Broadly there are two types of chilled water systems available:

Air Cooled System:
In an air cooled system heat absorbed by the refrigerant from the water flowing in evaporator is rejected by the condenser into atmosphere. Technically, air cooled chillers are ideal for the locations where most of the times the climatic conditions are hot & dry. However, if there is a scarcity of good quality of water, then Air cooled Chillers are the most appropriate solution.

Water Cooled System
In case of water-cooled system heat absorbed by the refrigerant from the water flowing in evaporator is rejected into the water flowing in the condenser and then further in to the environment through the Cooling Towers. As this kind of Chiller system need additional equipment and controls, it may add up to the initial investment cost of the project. Technically, water cooled chillers are the most preferred equipment, where the most of the times the climatic conditions are hot and humid.

The compressors of a Chiller equipment can be typically divided into three categories i.e, Centrifugal, Screw and Scroll.

The Use of Advanced Controls in the piping network, Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs) in pumps, Chillers & Air handling Units have started to make the large buildings to operate the air conditioning systems with more precision and better efficiencies. The integration of the advanced controls with the Building Management Systems (BMS) provides better control and possibility of remote controlling of the complex HVAC systems.

Careco will design and recommend the most appropriately suited Central air conditioning system for your project. While designing the air conditioning system, we will perform the following activities:

  • Load analysis of your premises.
  • Select the various components including Chiller, Pumps, Cooling Towers, AHUs, Pipes, Controls etc. to collectively propose the adequate capacity of Central air conditioning system.
  • Provide a schematic layout based on the design of your project including the plant room design and design of the air distribution system for the selected system.
  • Prepare and submit a commercial proposal for the proposed system.

When selected to work with you on your prestigious project, we endeavor to execute your project professionally in compliance with the technical and commercial specifications as given in our scheme. We work in co-ordination with all required disciplines ensuring project milestones and completions are delivered on time.
